1. Basic Technician Certificate (NTA level 4) in Forest Industries Technology
The applicant must have at least four (4) passes (two passes must be of science subjects i.e. either Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Agricultural Science or Basic Mathematics) and any other two passes in non-religious subjects in Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (CSEE) or from other countries as translated by NECTA. Graduates with National Vocational Award (NVA) level III in Forestry, Wood Processing or Carpentry and Joinery will be admitted. Also, candidates with Vocational Education in Forestry, Wood Processing, or Carpentry and Joinery from secondary schools will be admitted.
The modules in this programme are categorized as follows:
Fundamental modules provide a range of skills, knowledge and principles that contribute to effective study of the main theme of a given training programme. Hence, fundamental modules provide a viable foundation for further studies and lifelong learning. In this curriculum fundamental modules are: Computer Application, Communication Skills, Applied Mathematics in Forestry, Life Skills, Ethics and Corruption in Forestry, Safety and Ergonomics in Forestry, First Aid in Forestry, and Soil Science.
Core modules refer to modules associated with the core studies, which provide the development of the main theme of the programme. They broadly represent the main areas of activities in forestry. These modules are taught together with fundamental modules so as to ensure that students gain an appreciation of the nature and complexities of real life in forestry and forest industries. Core modules for Basic Technician Certificate 45 in Forest Industries Technology are: Tree Seed Management, Tree Nursery Management, Tree Planting and Tending, Forest protection, Forest Botany, and Field Practical Training

- Admissions to the program will be to a person who has successfully completed Basic Technician Certificate in Forest Industries Technology, Basic Technician Certificate in Forestry, Basic Technician Certificate in Agriculture, Basic Technician Certificate in Environmental Science/Studies, Basic Technician Certificate in Tourism/Wildlife Management/Conservation, National Vocational Award level III in Wood Processing, National Vocational Award level III in Forestry, National Vocational Award level III in Carpentry and Joinery or form six level who has passed in Science combination subjects with at least one principal and subsidiary pass.=

Core modules for Technician Certificate in Forest Industries Technology are: Timber Harvesting, Sawmilling Operations, Saw Doctoring, Timber Drying, Timber Grading, Wood By-Products Value Addition, Timber Treatment, Engineered Wood Products, Forest Products Inspection and Field Practical Training.
In order to achieve an integration of these modules there will be considerable use of various teaching and learning methods including lecture, assignment, projects, discussions, case studies, independent work and field work.

3. Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6) in Forest Industries Technology
Admission to the programme will be open to holders of NTA level 5 in Forest Industries Technology, Mechanical Wood Industries, Wood Technology, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science/Studies, Natural Resource Management, Tourism Management, Wildlife Conservation/Management.
The modules in this programme are categorized as follows:
Fundamental Modules provide a range of skills, knowledge and principles that contribute to effective study of the main theme of a given training programme. Hence, the fundamental modules provide a viable foundation for further studies and lifelong learning. In this curriculum the fundamental modules are: Principles of Administration, Statistics, and Entrepreneurship.
Core Modules these refer to modules associated with the core studies, which provide the development of the main theme of the programme. They broadly represent the main areas of activities in forestry and forest industries. These modules are taught together with fundamental modules to ensure that students gain an appreciation of the nature and complexities of real life in forestry and forest industries. The core modules for Ordinary diploma in Forest Industries Technology are: Wood Properties and Utilization, Climate Smart Forestry, Environmental Impact Assessment, Forest Economics, Forest Inventory, Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing, Research Methods, Special Project, and Field Practical Training.
In order to achieve an integration of these modules there will be considerable use of various teaching and learning methods including lecture, assignment, projects, discussions, case studies, independent work and field work.
